Enter the ASJ Free Competition for an African Safari -- the prize is an unforgettable African 5-day guided safari for two people, in the world famous Kruger National Park, in South Africa.

Holiday Competition Safari Prize Itinerary

Spend five days on a guided safari in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The total value of this prize is US$3500.

Transfer from Johannesburg international airport (OR Tambo) in South Africa to the Malelane Gate at the Kruger National Park where Neil Heron from Bearded Heron Safaris will meet you.

You will be privately guided in an open-sided game viewing vehicle by Neil who will be able to interpret the behavior, ecology and relationships of and between all the animals, vegetation and landscapes you see during your game drives with him.

Neil is accompanied on safari by his hospitality chef, who takes care of the meals – from great cooked breakfasts, light lunches and fantastic dinners – all the cuisine is traditional South African – and all this in a wonderful outdoor setting.

You will have your own private accommodation in the form of a one bedroomed, fully serviced (fresh linen and towels) en-suite cottage.

The Safari Prize Includes:

• Kruger conservation and entrance fees.
• Two game drives every day - no schedule for the length or diversity of the game drives except your needs, and what the bush delivers.
• On one of the nights a nocturnal drive (night drive) with spotlights.
• All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and refreshments such as South African wine, beer, bottled water and fresh juice.
• Accommodation within the Kruger Park in private en-suite units.

He will e-mail you a short interview questionnaire and make it available in the form of a webpage on the African Safari Journals website so that others can learn and enjoy your experiences and nature tour adventure.

All the travel report interviews done before the closing date (31 December) will go into the holiday competition prize draw and the owner of the winning entry will be awarded the Kruger National Park safari holiday prize.

Why can't people who have never been on one of the trips above (or don't intend on going on one this year), enter?

Because the travel report of your previous nature tour (or the one you go on this year) is your entry into the competition, just like entering a photograph in a photographic competition.

So please only enter the holiday competition if you have already been on one of these trips in the past.
