Bungee Jumping in Africa from the world's two highest locations (both are in Southern Africa), can help you re-live that experience again!
It's the ultimate Adrenaline Rush - not an adventure sport experience for the faint-hearted ... yes, you must be in excellent health as usual!
The ultimate bungee jump is off the Bloukrans River Bridge, on the Garden Route in South Eastern Cape of South Africa, (near Plettenberg Bay).
This jump involves that eternal five-second freefall, so you're:
free.....falling
fall...ing
falling
Whoops! Bounce!!! Reached the end of the cord ....
Whew! I break out in a sweat just writing about it - it's 170 metres (500 ft) down at the other end!
The second highest location for bungee jumping in Africa is off the bridge crossing over the Zambezi River at Victoria Falls - commercially run bungee jumping is allowed here too.
The drop is a mere 100 metres (310 ft) from this bridge, in comparison :-), and jumpers have to be winched back up to the bridge again.
It's certainly a different way to experience the magnificient view of Victoria Falls too - one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The falls are also known as Mosi-Oa-Tunya, the "Smoke that Thunders".
It doesn't matter which spelling of the term bungee jumping you prefer -- bungy jumping or bungi jumping - it's an awesome sport to enjoy!
Here are two "regular" view of Victoria Falls from the Zambian side of the falls, as a preview:

Bungee Jumping Variations - Bridge Swinging
Another variation of (or alternative to) bungee jumping that's possible in certain parts of Africa, is bridge swinging, where you would swing between 2 bridges, starting from a standing launch.
One end of the cord is attached to a special harness fitted around your upper body, while the other end is fastened to a second bridge, a short distance away.
After the launch, you swing through the air in an arc - but there's no hammock with this swing, and you won't be dozing off in a hurry!
